Urgent: Chinese premier hopes Canadian side to adopt correct perception of China

NEW YORK, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Qiang said here on Tuesday that China hopes the Canadian side can adopt a correct perception of China, and respect each other's core interests and major concerns to cement the political foundation for the development of bilateral cooperation and ties.

Li, who is in New York to attend the general debate of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, made the remarks in his meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
