The Honourable David J. McGuinty, Minister of National Defence, will make an announcement regarding the Canadian Coast Guard's new security provisions under the Strengthening Canada's Immigration System and Borders Act.

What: Federal and local representatives will participate in the announcement. Minister McGuinty, Member of Parliament for Nunavut, Lori Idlout, and Canadian Coast Guard Commissioner Kevin Brosseau will offer remarks. A media availability and photo opportunity will follow.
