Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario - The Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Jobs and Families and Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario, on behalf of the Honourable Francois-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Finance and National Revenue, will make an important announcement to support Canada's steel industry. This announcement stems from the Government of Canada's comprehensive suite of measures to help protect, stabilize and pivot the Canadian manufacturing economy and steel sector amid global uncertainty.
